A bright New Year to us all

.

“Sloth, like rust, consumes faster than labor wears, while the used key is always bright.”

.

Benjamin Franklin  wrote that, under the nom de plume of Richard Saunders, in one of the Poor Richard’s Almanacs he published between 1733 to 1758.

Ben Franklin was obviously not a fan of laziness.

As a witch, this quote has always inspired me to spend more time Working the Arte, and less time sitting on my ass reading about it.  And (obviously) it inspired the title of this blog, where I write about what happens when I do.

As we stand on the threshold between 2010 and 2011, most of us will resolve to work some aspect of our Craft more often, or better, or with renewed diligence.

So to all you brave witches, may your key be bright in 2011!
